Juices made of spinach, kale, super-fruits, and others are cropping up all over the United States. They are not just a cocktail, it is a meal and for some people it is a way of healthy life style. Whether it is a meal or refreshment, it is an annual $5 billion industry growing at a healthy 4 to 8 percent a year.
Many claims its health benefits while others use it to get rid of some unwanted pounds. Whatever it is, juices are moving the 20 and 30 year olds into a new healthy lifestyle.
Juice bars are cropping up all over America. The Atlanta based Freshens has 890 locations; Emeryville, California based Jumba Juice has 773 stores; Greenwood Village, Colorado based Maul Wowl has 561 locations; Minneapolis based Orange Jullus, a unit of Dairy Queen, mostly located in shopping malls has 461 stores; and many other brands has many locations all over America and the rest of the world.
Freshly pressed super juices are available at more than 6,200 locations throughout the U.S. Traditional chilled product manufacturers such as Campbell Soup is also getting in the action by buying premium juice outlets. PepsiCo that makes Naked and Coca-Cola that makes Odwalla shares shelf space at supermarkets.
