Food that can make your body healthy
We already know that lean meat, fruits and vegetables are good for our body to stay healthy. Here are some of those with what you want to know.
- Avocado: Besides adding flavor, avocado contains heart healthy fat. You can eat avocado just by itself or add to salads, sandwiches and other food preparations.
- Nuts: Good source of protein and other nutrients. Known to contain heart healthy fats and avoid adding any salt to get the maximum benefits. The American Heart Association recommends adding several servings of nuts a day. Most all nuts will qualify, but almonds and walnuts are exceptionally good for you.
- Colorful vegetables: They add beauty to your salads. Color essentially indicates their richness with nutrients. Vegetables that carry solid color throughout such as carrots, spinach, and beans usually contain more vitamins that your body needs.
- Salmon: Rich with omega-3 fatty acids that is known for heart health. Salmon is easy to prepare and readily available.
- Soy: Comes in many forms. Tofu can add to a salad as well as used in other preparations. Soy milk can be used to replace whole or skim milk. Dried soy nuts are good for snaking. Fresh nuts can be boiled and used in many food preparations including salads.
