Tai chi Ch’uan or simply called Tai chi (pronounced TIE-chee) is an ancient Chinese inner body exercise program for improved health as well as a form of defense training. This method of slow moving exercises includes five basic elements: solo hand movements, weapons, sanshou (self-defense techniques), tui shou (response drills) and nei gung. This method of self-defense and destressing exercises can be practiced anywhere and does not require any special equipment.
