If you’re looking to lose weight on your own rather than depending on the advice of the professionals working at adult weight loss camps, here are some tips to keep in mind when it comes to recognizing fad diets. Avoid the following:
* Plans that focus on only one food group. A well-rounded diet is the best way to stay healthy.
* Diets that don’t offer scientific evidence, only testimonials from supposed clients.
* Programs that promise a substantial weight loss in a very short period of time. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
* Plans that only focus on food. There’s a reason for that boot camp physical training, you know.
* Diets that don’t encourage you to speak to your doctor before starting.
* Plans that require you to use their foods/supplements.
