Avoiding Fad Diets

Although there are plenty of nutritionists and LA weight loss clinics out there that can offer you safe and healthy ways to drop those pounds you’ve been trying to get rid of, there are also plenty of fad diets to be found that can be unhealthy and even dangerous.  Although many of them are touted by the media as the next big thing in weight loss, they don’t actually promote lasting change, the kind that you really want when you’re seeking to build a healthier you.  If you’re looking to lose weight on your own rather than depending on the advice of the professionals working at adult weight loss camps, here are some tips to keep in mind when it comes to recognizing fad diets.  Avoid the following:

* Plans that focus on only one food group. A well-rounded diet is the best way to stay healthy.
* Diets that don’t offer scientific evidence, only testimonials from supposed clients.
* Programs that promise a substantial weight loss in a very short period of time. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
* Plans that only focus on food. There’s a reason for that boot camp physical training, you know.
* Diets that don’t encourage you to speak to your doctor before starting.
* Plans that require you to use their foods/supplements.
