Resistance Bands

One of the benefits of attending weight loss camps for teens or adults is learning about some of the different physical fitness options that are available for you once you return back home. Obviously, not everything that you experience while in the program has a parallel for your real life. You might not have much room for exercise equipment in your home. Chances are that you don’t have a personal trainer stashed away in your closet either. However, one of the tools that is becoming more and more popular with fitness retreat programs is both easy to use and affordable enough to keep at home. That would be exercise bands, also known as resistance bands.

Exercise bands are a simple concept. Essentially, they resemble oversized rubber bands. They can be attached to a variety of objects that are easy to find in or around your home: trees, doors, and much more. You can exercise different muscle groups by pulling on the bands in different ways. This type of resistance training is easier on many people than weight training is.

Both affordable and easy to transport, exercise bands have become women’s boot camp staples. The exercises are easy for instructors to parlay to their clients. And perhaps most importantly, it is a routine that individuals can continue working on once they return to their regular lives.
