The Brassica Vegetables
Your mother always told you to eat your vegetables; but should you eat certain vegetables more than others? The scientists at the University of California at Berkeley seem to think so.
While the scientific community has long been aware of the connection between eating lots of broccoli and a lower risk of cancer and other diseases, new discoveries by the scientists at Berkeley reveal that we should be getting a higher dose of Brassica vegetables: broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale and Brussels sprouts.
While researching the anticancer properties of Diindolylmethane (DIM), a nutrient found in Brassica vegetables, the scientists at Berkeley found that DIM is actually a powerful, natural immune system booster, with the ability to support multiple organs in the body. In fact, DIM has been proven to support colon, vision, skin, breast, prostate and cardiovascular health.
In addition to DIM, the Brassica vegetables have two other key nutrients: Sulforaphane and Selenium. By combining these three nutrients as well as other key vitamins and minerals, the scientists at Berkeley developed ActivaMune, a premium dietary supplement and immune system booster.
